Anil, a Mediator (with Singapore Mediation Centre’s Commercial & Family Panels); Arbitrator (Fellows of the Chartered, Singapore and Philippines Institutes of Arbitrators); Adjudicator (with the Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre of Arbitration); Advocate & Solicitor of Singapore and Solicitor of England and Wales, has been in practice since 1995 after graduating as a Barrister of England and Wales (Middle Temple) and five years as an infantry officer with the Singapore Armed Forces. With a MSc in Construction Law & Arbitration from King’s College London & NUS, Anil has also worked the arbitration practice group of the international law firm Lovells Lee and Lee and In-House Counsel and head of Davis Langdon & Seah (Arcadis Group)’s Contract Advisory and Dispute Management division.
ChangAroth Chambers LLC since July 2014, focuses on Building, Construction, and Infrastructure work (including managing and consulting on construction projects and claims), and deals with most aspects of Commercial, Civil Criminal, Corporate; Front End Advisory work and Appropriate Dispute Resolution Services representing parties in Singapore and the region.
Anil’s pro Bono work is mainly with Jurong Town and TASEK Jurong for the Honourable Deputy Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam. Anil is the Honorary Legal Advisor to Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers, S’pore Institute of Architects and the Society of Interior Designers (S’pore) and was chairman of the Society of Construction Law (S’pore) 2012-2014.
His specialised work with Appropriate Dispute Resolution also includes as a Mediator, Adjudicator, Arbitrator, Dispute Boards and Neutral Evaluator with Trinity ADR Pte. Ltd. and ChangAroth International Consultancy that consults & administers international trade, construction and infrastructure projects and appropriate dispute resolution services, being set up in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Mauritius and India.
